If you’re looking for Salem Witch-approved book recommendations on the best witchy reads, you’ve come to the right place.

I recently visited a shop in Salem called the Pentagram Shoppe to take a course in Shadow Work, as I have been working to improve my self-reflection and growth by delving into my inner darkness. This course reaffirmed beliefs I already had come to believe and taught me others I had yet to learn.

~More to come on what I learned in the Shadow Work course soon!~

After the course ended, I approached the instructor, Danni, to ask a few follow-up questions. Danni is a local Enchantress with “a background in Traditional Initiatory Witchcraft” and “works as a Psychic” as well. She specializes in Shadow work and helps Empaths like myself understand their gifts.

After her course, one of the questions I asked her was for a few book recommendations for witches with an affinity for learning but need to know where to begin. Here are the books she recommended that every witch have on their bookshelf:

Psychic Witch: A Metaphysical Guide to Meditation, Magick & Manifestation by Mat Auryn

Psychic Mat Auryn details how to tap into your power psychic abilities and access the full potential of your mind, body, and spirit in “Psychic Witch.” Discover practices, meditations, and tips to help you perceive and manipulate energies to your benefit.

Cunningham’s Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham

Cunningham’s comprehensive guide accounts for over 400 plants and herbs from around the globe. This book provides illustrations and unique uses to help you identify and practice with each plant and herb.

It’s nice to have reassurance on the quality and credibility of books such as these from experienced psychics immersed in the spiritual world of Salem.
